Teacher Training

Mission Statement

Our intention is to inspire teachers to inspire students to fulfill their potential for greater joy, personal freedom and balanced empowerment; to manifest their dreams, though the time tested science of yoga

The tree represents the essence of the nature of man in the universe and embodies his lessons of balance and integrity. The tree draws its sustenance from the earth and the sky and every level in between. It gives and it receives and it adapts gracefully to the constant flux of its environment.

Yoga encompasses many branches, all them leading to the source of life which is the source of joy and health. As we learn to embody its qualities we can also learn to reach our potential of manifestation and share our gifts from our abundance.

Inner Domain Teacher Training can be compared to the  canopy of a tree in full bloom. In its shade are the practices that heal and balance what the ayurvedic system calls the koshas (sheaths or layers).

Within the framework of a 500 hour advanced Teacher training program Inner Domain’s 200 hour curriculum is modeled according to the elements to teach both the physical benefits of hatha yoga but also the acknowledged goal of Raja Yoga and Samadhi.

The 200 hour requirements will be fulfilled in 5 modules:

Earth Water Fire Air Ether

New teachers will be provided a framework of knowledge passed down from the sages to structure a safe and fluid vinyasa style yoga class and guide students to a deeper understanding of the physical, mental, emotional and energetic benefits of a consistent yoga practice. The application of vinyasa krama will be instructed so teachers can guide students through safe step by step unfolding into the asanas that teaches both correct balance of opposites
(sukha /Sthira) and increased mindfulness.
