Trance Dance is an ancient merging of the two rivers of sacred dance and yoga. On this evening celebrating the archetypal expression of the subconscious we have the opportunity to explore, acknowledge and express aspects of the self that hold the power of transformation.

This sacred form of dance dates back to humankind’s earliest expression of devotion to Mother earth ( shakti ) and father sky, (shiva) and the great spirit Brahman.. The ecstatic dances merges the dancer into the eternal wisdom of pranic flow who’s spirals mirror the pattern of our DNA and the movement of the celestial bodies, As above, so below. This pranic flow can heal separation from our truest selves returning us to wholeness, integrity and vitality. Through honoring the entire myriad of human emotions from anger and sadness to joy, release into a state on inner freedom is possible, in which the small self merges into the ocean of the bigger self, consciousness and bliss.

The use of masks to free these subconscious energies is an ancient tradition in many cultures, when, with face hidden we are free to embody our deepest passions.
